i am a christian. i have not heard of the term 煉獄.
as far as i know and according to the tearching from the bible and my pastor in church, if one believes in Jesus Christ who died on the cross and save us from our sin and we confess our sin to God, then we are the children of God and when we die, we shall go to heaven.
on the contrary, one will go to hell.
