Hi All,

I've been so frustrated about my son's eczema. He's been having the eczema problem since he's a little baby. Now it's still bothering him.

Any recommendation for Chinese herbalist for young kids in the Silicon Valley?

Thanks tons!

HappyMatt,

thx for your info.

yes, it's still a bit far for us but it might take a little lesser time for us going to Oakland than going to S.F. if the traffic is good.

have the herbalist seen a lot of young kids, especially for eczema problems?

there's an on-site herbalist at the Chinese pharmacy closed to where we live. my son had seen her for many times. couple times for flu/coughing and her medicines were very effective for treating coughing. however, didn't help much for his eczema problem ... maybe eczema is much harder to treat ...

baby-turtle,

if your son's eczema is due to allergy to certain food, it's easy to take care. you should take him for skin test to find out what kinds of food he's allergic to and just try to avoid them. however, my son's eczema is not related to food.
i can give u a referral for a pedi. allergy specialist for skin test at Stanford if u want.

just wondering if your herbalist is the same one that my son had seen recently, becoz she used to have a clinic in Mtn. View. so, is the doctor a female or male?

actually your herbalist is not expensive at all ....
my son'd seen a herbalist in S.F. couple years ago and we paid $160 for a week's medication. he saw another one in S.J. and we paid $110 for a week's medication, and she charged our insurance for giving accu-point message to him.

if your herbalist has a lot of pediatric patients, would u mind to pm me his contact info?

rose-mag,

thanks for your tips. you're absolutely right ...
also, have professional air dust cleaning really help too (esp. for coughing due to allergy).

yes, we do have carpets at home. as we've been thinking about moving, we would prefer to have hardwood floor in our new place. however, we still haven't made up our mind where to move yet.

anyway, my son's eczema is more triggered from trees and grass than from dust-mite (and sometimes from sweating). however, since he's a completely outdoor and sportive guy, it even made his allergy worse.
