it depends which part of the US you want to go. I lived in the east coast for 6 years and most of my friends there are doing home schooling with their kids. One reason being is they are not happy with some schools there ( moral/academic ....). Of course some schools are excellent.
You just have to study the whole thing carefully before you make up your mind.
Moving to another country is not always as easy as one would imagine, I think!!
