My twins now are 2.5 yrs old, they still need my bf, espically the elder one, need night time milk to make her sleep. At the beginning they all in NICU around 1.5 and 2.5 months, at that time I purely pump the milk, after they came home, I start feeding them directly, sometimes two together, sometimes one by one, depends on the situation,e.g. if I want to sleep together with them, I will only feed one, but if able to feed two together, will be more time effective.
The method is the heads of both toward center and put two of them into a cushion, then my two head can be free to do other things,e.g. online. haha...
after they drink milk, I will try to pump out the remaining milk.
Normally, if unable to feed both, I will feed one around 15min. on one side only, then I feed the other one on another side, at the same time pump out the remaining. I found that if one baby drinking milk in one side, the other side do the pumping that will have a lot of milk come out.
