My boyfriend is Malaysian Chinese in KL and I am local (HK). We are going to have marriage registration next year. However, we committed that I will move to there around 2 years later since we need more time to earn money for building up a family.
As you guys all know, it's earning more money in HK.
I am wondering (請教大家) what I need to get used to except weather and incomplete transporation system?
Hope to have sharing here. ^^
Any funny issue happen due to different culture? :)
Actually, I irrationally wanna move to there immediately and stop suffering long distance relationship but we both need more time..........(reality)
Harlow jjjjb. I think it's very important that you can drive in Malaysia. Otherwise your life will be quiet boring here.
Do you still planning to work after moving to Malaysia? I think the transition will be easier if you have a job even thou the pay sucks comparing to Hong Kong.
Where are you working? My office is in city centre, traffic jam is horrible but this fasting month is better.. hahah..
I agreed that we must know how to drive but I think KL get better compare few years back and I also "覺得KL啲嘢平哋,對BB嘅成長都好啲.".
Harlow Jelly_fish. Your account is the same as my high school friend's nickname that I gave her. hahahahaha.
I was working in The Intermark building (next to French embassy) but now I have stopped and become full time mom. The jam in downtown is super doper horrible. I was stuck in the jam for 2 hours after work trying to go home few times. Raya month and the school holiday are the best, the road is as smooth as the baby's backside.
So far I actually prefer the working environment in KL over HK. The people are more simple and no so much office politics. I have had two excellent bosses here in KL, they really stand up for the small potatoes like me. There was once I got bullied by the sales team and my boss went to the sales team manager and told her stop bullying me. I am still touched by that action now.
Aiya.. I should know you earlier, our office is so close, my office is at Jln Ampang, opposite KLCC, next to Public Bank, the old and outdated building. hahha...
It is super jam especially on Friday but sometimes I take Duke highway back home, the fastest way. No choice la, the poor public transportation here, what to do.
It's glad to hear you had good boss, my company is HK based company , so that most of them are chinese, I dun know Malay also, I asked my colleagues to translate, sometimes, they laugh at me but I dun care. Most of them ok , not as stress as in HK.
I think we have a lots to share of the working experience and funny things about Malaysia working culture, some of them make me , so of them make me ...
Anyway, it's a good experience and what I learnt most in here is "patient"... hahhaa....
