...個amount係夠我地係沙田買一層一千呎既樓..賺到都交左一大大大半比佢...

但我地去醫院..66 euro住一晚...
我生bb時,我揀住public房,因為semi private都要585 euro一晚...

而家d死人insurance又加tax,真係人都癲呀...

而我有個朋友馬來西亞華橋(女)嫁英國鬼..佢地有一女...而佢老公鐘意馬拉地方 ...

我老公同你表弟一樣,但唔知點解,我老公個2家姐係轉智能身份証時,比佢拎到3粒星永久居民喎..
但我老公只得香港身份証...
佢大家姐,因為03年sars返唔到香港,断左3年返一次hk,連hkid都無埋,,,

以前住喺英國時覺得英國衰，離開咗之後，發覺原來有更衰嘅國家！(注:我唔係話英國好，只係國得有俾起佢更衰嘅國家)

香港都算係咁，稅低，不過d基本福利都唔錯，叫樣樣都有d！d公立醫院就算唔係一流，都叫做有吖！好過美國，連基本醫療都冇！

我喺呢度生bb有insurance都係要另外俾錢，我諗都洗咗幾千蚊美金！今年又係加價，去年去睇醫生每次收US$20，今年收US$30 ..... d經濟唔好，d health insurance就加價 ..... 蝦人唔睇醫生唔得！

英國醫療褔利真係唔差，生bb基本上唔洗點洗錢，仲有錢比你！
我朋友cancer，後來中風，無工作能力，政府幫佢供樓兼比架車佢，方便佢老婆車佢去覆診，試問呢d大吉利是既褔利，好多國家都無，當有需要時真係好重要.
但係咁樣，始終都鐘意留係香港，總係覺得呢度先係自已地方，真係覺得行步路都自豪d

仲有係白車黎左, 唔代表入到醫院, d 救護員評估過唔駛入院既話就唔駛入院, 不過俾錢, 唔知俾幾多...

外國地方乜都要靠保險...

我媽咪有個frd又係中左風,政府又比錢佢供樓+養佢地...

My friend has successfully applied HKID, HKSAR passport for her baby last year. She lied to the immigration dept that she's staying in HK for a long time. She has not property and has not mentioned about 親友擔保 or 要銀行有 $$, but it is true that 要年年返港. 而且手續煩複 but only 父or母有身份證 is OK. She told me that the immigration officer needs to physically interview the baby with the mom. Usually, it takes 4-6 weeks or even months to arrange the interview after you send in the application form. And, the contact address needs to be in HK hence, you need to have relatives or friends to help. Also, you cannot apply all the documents at one time, needs to be HKID first, then passport, then the return card. It needs 2-3 weeks for you to receive the HKID and another 2-3 weeks for passport. Therefore, at least you have to stay in HK for 1 month to get all done.

I have not applied the HKID for my kids. My mom kept bugging me before to get a HKID and the HK residency for them. After I told her about all procedures, she understands that it may not be easy for me to do that as I'm a FT working mom. Taking vacation is not easy.

No, my friend's husband hold a UK passport (he relocated there when he's young) and my friend held a student visa before she married her husband. I know that she's only a UK resident, not a citizen yet.

It depends on your insurance. That's why people would consider the medical plan and benefit so much when they look for jobs. Under my husband's plan, I only needed to pay $10 copayment to see the doctor. When I was pregnant, I paid nothing for checkup, hospitalization is $100 per admission. However, when I used my company's plan, I paid $25 copayment to see my ob per visit, hospitalization is $500 per admission. It absolutely depends on the plan the employer offers. My hubby's company plan is so good that he pays nothing out of pocket for medical every month but I need to pay over $100 per paycheck (2 per months) for medical.

It's always the middle class pays the most % of the income but enjoy the least benefits. Basic care is offered to the low income or seniors but people have to make appointments a few months ago and wait hours in the hospital before being seen.

HK is good, low tax, no sales sale, no mandatory tips but talking about benefit, it's almost the same. I have never enjoyed any benefit in HK before. At least in US, I can file for unemployment and I enjoy up to 13 weeks of maternity leave. And, it provides so much support for breast-feeding here.
