I feel so sad after I read the news. It should be a happy thing by expecting a child, but it turns out that 2 children lost their beloved mother and a husband lost a wife... =( so sad!!!
wah, 3 PRC pregnant women had bad experiences in Baptist Hospital within these 1-2 mths, too bad!
I recall my delivery experience in Feb this year (my 1st bb), I do think there should be something Baptist Hospital should address in avoiding unhappy incidents in the future (though accidents may somewhat unavoidable).
Talking my experience in Fed, I delivered my bb in early morning in a weekday by natural birth. I'd already 穿羊水in previous day, but still not yet the time for delivery even after the last check-up from my doctor at night. But I suddendly felt acute pain after the doctor had left the hospital, and I reported to a nurse who came to give me medicine prescribed by doctor previously (actually, they didn't give me any further close monitor at the waiting room). They sent me to the delivery ward immediately, and I called my husbaand to return back (this was hospital policy for no over-night stay of visitors).
At the time, they said my 子宮had open about 2-3 degree, so they had not called my doctor in the mid-night. My husband arrived at the delivery ward, and they had set up all the check-up & instrument and CLOSED THE DOOR, JUST LEAVE MY HUSBAND AND I in the delivery room. At about 1am, I felt something pushing out from my lower part, my husband immediately reported to the nurses outside the delivery room, and they came to check and told us it was time for delivery bb, and called my doctor. And luckily, my bb was born at about 2am, healthly, with the help of my doctor.
Kidding, right? But every process was running so rush, but in time, otherwise,
- no nurse knew I was about to deliver,
- my husband could not arrive in time to support me and witnessed the birth of my bb,
- my doctor was not there to help me if we did not call the nurse who were outside of my delivery room....
We could actually complain to Baptist Hospital, coz we really felt uncomfortable of their procedure (or, this may be the common practice for all hospitals in general, and I misunderstand: do not give close monitor of the 鎮痛stage at the waiting room, and leave the pregnant woman alone at the delivery room). So, the 3 unhappy incidents..... I guess.... the hospital should do something to revisit their procedure and addressasap.
Plssssss this is about life, be ethically! (though I do appreciated the good services from their nurses, sorry I definitely not recommend Baptist Hospital to my friends)
