My baby also doesnt like formula. I have tried cow's , goat's and soymilk. He's more OK with soy and goat's than cow's. But still doesnt drink more than 2 sips! I gave up. Here is my humble opinion abouut formula. Since there is so many things happened that we dod not wanna give babies formula, we can actually safely rely on solids for their nutrition, given they are 1 year old already (said the doc). What's extra in the formula is protein, iron, calcium and probably Omega3. We can give baby these from solids. This way, we can avoid the ingredients that babies do not need from the formula (eg, melamine). Plus, I believe they can absorb better from food than the chemical added into formula. I do not know how much my baby have from my breast, but he can have it anytime he wants throughout the day (lucky I work from home and only goto office once a week!). I give him yoghurt too, so hopefully that makes up for the calcium he needs.
朝日太太,
I live in Australia so probably not the best one you ask for the info. There is one way that you may wanna try to find out what your bb's allergic to. It was suggested by our paediatrician awhile ago.
Let's say you suspect your bb's allergic to egg. Rub some egg white (raw) onto your bb's skin (this patch of skin has to be originally clean and not covered by rash). Check the skin after 20 minutes. If it's red/covered with rash, then he's allergic to that food. Remember always use raw food. If it's some solid, puree it with a blender and mixed with water before applying.
I tried it on my bb and it works! He's allergic to eggwhite. Within 5 minutes, his skin becomes red and 10 minutes, hives and rashes flares up. I tried again with wheat (using flour and water), and the flare up is less than from eggwhites. It was confirmed by skin test that he is less allergic to wheaet than to eggwhites.
Sorry, too long a post!
Hope that helps. Good luck
My BB also still breast feed. She refuse to take the solid and ask me to offer her breast when she saw the congee, porridge...etc.
Actually, if she is able to be feed in soild then there is no need to feed her @night.
But my girl always seens like full and refuse to take solid.
With this problem, I am really very unhappy.
As I saw you all the BB able to take 1-2 bowl of congee but my girl only take 1/3 and sometimes even refuse @the very beginning!!
Actually, our schedule as the following:
0730 cereal (2oz of breast milk mix up)
Hard to be feed
0900 If I don't go to work then breast
feed
1200 congee or thick rice with meat
and veg(only take 1/3 and
refuse) & orange or blueberries
or apple
1300 bath
1400 sleeping until 1700
1800 congee again (sometimes refuse)
1900 Adult having dinner. asking for
veg again
2030 or 2100 breast feeding anf then
sleeping
0100 most likely asking for breast
Sometimes she may ask for breast again during the night time but I have no idea what time it is as I had been sleeping and after she finish, she also sleep, too.
