I used their service for 2 years. And, I've uploaded 40G to their site so far. It's quite stable.

I joined 2.5 years. The 1st year - Standard a/c and the 2nd year - Power User a/c.

The reason why I try 'Power User' is because I'd like to customize my site i.e. my header and footer (more likely a personal website). The traffic quota is not necessary as the standard a/c should be good enough.

Generally, you can upload 100M per time. If I do it at home (using netvigator), the speed is slow due to the ADSL upload speed limitation. If you're using iCable, I believe that the performance should be better. BTW, if I do it in the office, the upload speed is super fast because my working company has an Internet link to the US directly.

While talking about the site's stabilization, my comment is very good... only 1-2 hours outage in last 2 years. If you look at the website, they mentioned that they kept 4 backup copies of each photo in 3 states. I don't believe that all copies are corrupted... so, I should able to maintain a good copy on that site.

Each user will have their own URL... all have same domain name i.e. xxx.smugmug.com but you can choose whatever you want for "xxx"

Adrian Papa, I just joined, I am uploading 175MB of pics now, my connection estimate that it will take 70 mins for the process.

Thank you for your recommandation. I think it's a secure way to keep all the valuable photos.

I am now using 4 windows in 2 computers to upload at the same time, (by router connected to the same broadband connection). It's running smoothly, but a bit slow, my computer connection gets very slow now.

Yes, it's because it utilized all your upload brandwidth even though you have 6M or 100M connection (as it's talking about download speed only)...

Base on the info in the Internet, DSL upload transmission speed is rated at an average of 256K. Therefore, a data stream of 100MB would upload in 54.50 minutes.

Generally, I take 35-45 minutes to upload 100M at home. If I do it in the office, just 4-5 minutes.
