Spencer's blisters get worse today. When I picked him up from the daycare, he was playing on his own (he's not allowed to play with the other kids and no toys for him today) and he looked tired and sad. He did not run to me but he held on to me when I walked close to him. He pointed at his lips and said 痛痛. Tonight, I tried every food for him and finally he ate some congee, fish and soup. He dared to tough any fruit which he loves so much normally. I will take him to see doctor again tomorrow and would like to make sure that he's recovering. If he really has HFMD, he's almost half way until recovery. Most likely, I need to take this week off to take care of him.

It's heart broken to see kids getting sick. May be keep him home if you can take days off since he is being isolated in daycare and sick, he must want to stay with you. Hope Spencer will feel better soon.

I've digged into my recycle bin and find the bb&b coupons. (don't worry, it's not garbage can hee) I can either mail you or give you next time. There are couple $5 off and some 20% off.

Jstn,
Do they sell bb tylenol & motrin in HK? Bring them if they don't. I went to Thailand with Chloe and forgot to bring medication. They didn't sell motrin and it took us long to find tylenol (where the label is all Thai so it was confusing).

Re: tongue-tie. Pedi will be able to tell. I know a baby who had operation at 6 months to cut the tie. It was a small operation and easy to fix.

Thanks for reminding ar ... I have bought both Tylenol and Motrin lar ... have also asked pedi about the dosage ... hopefully Terence BB doesn't need to use them lar

Terence BB starts to have a bit runny nose this morning ... makes me worry!!! ... please don't get sick, baby!!!

i also have to be cautious about the virus, as we will leave for HK soon ... good luck to us as well

HFMD is really horrible! Justin had it a couple times and Shana had it earlier this year. Although Spencer may not be having it, the symtoms sound very similar and I can imagine how much he and you are suffering! Those blisters in the mouth/throat really hurt a ton. Justin only ate a little bit of jello for two days when he had HFMD. Usually I don't give him any cold drink (because he's asthmatic), but he could only swallow tiny bit of cold drink during that time. The most important thing is keep him hydrated.

Hope Spencer is feeling better today. It's better to keep him home, but separate him from Amanda. Handwashing is even more important than usual, cuz you may not be infected yourself but you may carry the virus to Amanda. So I usually take care of the sick kid exclusively myself and my husband will take care of the other one.

I know that is really hard but you have to keep your son at home, not going back to day care until he is recovered, as we don't want other children get comtaminated.
you need to wash hands closely between you touch spencer and Amanda..
yogurt, jello are great food for hand foot mouth disease.

Hi rose-mag,

你好! 雖然不肯定你的孩子是否真的患上手足口病, 不過, 要小心處理水疱, 以免再受細菌感染.

我的兩個孩子半年前 (聖誕假期) 亦感染了手足口病, (弟弟在學校受感染, 一星期後再傳給哥哥) 當時醫生沒有給予特別的口服藥物, 只是怕水疱爆破而感染細菌, 醫生給我兩種藥膏, 一種是塗紅點, 以防形成水疱, 另一種是塗水疱, 以防爆破受感染 (抱歉我不知道藥名) 你可向醫生查詢, 你的孩子適合塗藥膏嗎? 孩子的衛生意識較弱, 要小心處理水疱.

當時我細仔手腳的紅點要兩星期才消退, 但大仔要足一個月才消退(大仔病況較嚴重).

孩子口腔潰爛, 連吞口水都好辛苦. 還有, 要小心病毒傳給你囡囡.

相信都可能係口腔感染, 如spencer食左藥都唔退燒, 咁d藥開得唔岩啦, 叻叻上年12月係hk都試過口入面出晒飛g, 第一次睇果個醫生既藥都唔岩,又係咁發燒, then再睇另一個,就知佢係口腔感染, 一食藥就冇晒燒, 要差唔多2wks先好得晒, 同埋呢個病頭7日係最serious架, 個bb會好辛苦, 可能成日摟計, 因太痛..你都要比多d耐心先得..wish Spencer recover soon.

I thought all toilet板 are same size tim. May be measure the area where you secure the screw, and the width/lengh of the seat? Not sure heehee ;p

多謝各位媽咪，再睇過醫生，Spencer唔係手足口，我個堂細佬都曾經有過，我阿嬸睇過Spencer，話佢果Ｄ唔係手足口。西醫話係病毒感染，佢冇再發燒，只係面同手有時發滾，唇瘡大致上已經結焦，下巴因為抓損咗結焦，面上有好多紅腫一攤攤，Ｄ濕疹因為咁嚴重咗，因為情況兩日都冇改善，醫生開咗抗生素俾佢食，要食７日，每日三次，８小時一次，即係要夜晚搞醒佢食一次，最慘係呢兩日佢果咀太痛唔肯食同飲，只有好肚餓果陣先肯食嘢，有時佢見倒佢鍾意食Ｄ嘢都會指俾我同婆婆睇，但一放埋口邊佢就喊，因為佢知食唔倒，所以呢兩日我同佢婆婆都凖備唔同嘢食，粥啦麵包啦湯啦，希望佢唔食呢樣食果樣，好在佢都仲肯飲湯。不過大部份時間佢都要我或者婆婆抱住，攬住張被仔，伏係我地身上，平日成日掛住玩唔肯瞓午睡，今日太攰瞓咗兩次，希望佢快Ｄ好番，睇見佢咁真係好心痛，咁細個小朋友都未識講，只有不停喊，我地大人又幫唔倒佢。。。
