What time do you maid need to come home on their holiday? and
Will you ask them (bun bun) to do some simple housework like disposing rubbish, boiling water , cleaning milk bottles on their day off? Are they willing to do so?

For the time I have a newborn baby, she needs to feed the morning milk (around 6:00 a.m.), boil hot water and clean the bottles before she left the house. I won't keep her long.
My rule is to be back home before 8:30 p.m. on holiday. The limit is before 9:00 p.m. is still fine, but I won't tell her. If she arrives home before 9:00 p.m. not very frequently, I won't say a word.
My helper is very initiative in throwing rubbish the evening on her holiday. She will offer help to wash dishes if I am washing when she is back. However, if I almost finish washing the dishes, I will thank her but ask her to help cleaning up the kitchen afterwards.

I set 9.30pm to my bun bun. She normally asks for my approval if she wants to come home late til 11pm, 1am or even overnight in boarding house. I only granted her 11pm the latest. I don't know if I turned her down on 1am and overnight at boarding house for a couple times, she got drunk without a call to me, and came home at 6am next Monday!! I gave her warning then. After that, she used to come home at 11.30pm without advance notice. She changed her mobile number at that time that I could not reach her after 9.30pm. The next day, she did not come to me for an explanation until I asked her.
Did any of your maids ask for 1am or staying overnight outside? How will you react on such requests?

I set 9pm. at the beginning, she called and asked us where we were before 9pm. then we found the fact was she wanted to stay outside longer and if we were far away from home, she came home later.
However, she called us on one Saturday night, saying that her key was kept by her friend and she'll collect it on Sun (I requested my maid to have dayoff on Sats). We scolded her and asked her to get the keys back immediately. After that, she still tried to come back at around 9.30pm. My husband set rules to her afterwards when we found her always talked on phone at night till 5 or 6am on the following day We really wonder how can she take care of my baby at the daytime with only 2 sleeping hr.
sometimes I really want to lay her off but she's already my 2nd maid. I think it's really difficult to find a good maid.
My daughter is now 21mths old. my maid always teaches her some gestures like hip hop and my baby follows her ways. I'm so angry...

I ask my maid to come back by 8pm. Since she does not keep our key, we will tell her to come back later if we are not home yet.
Although she is dirty, slow and stubborn, she always takes initiative in throwing rubbish and making baby sleep after coming back home. Also, she will feed my baby milk and make her sleep before going out. I am lucky to get a maid treating my baby good. But she needs to quit after 11 months with us since her sister is unwilling to take care of her baby.
It is a nightmare for me to get another maid. She might be better or worse than my existing maid. And it is very difficult to start another new relationship with a "Brand-new" maid. It is hard for me and even harder for my baby.
We really wonder how can she take care of my baby at the daytime with only 2 sleeping hr.
