Dear pyjj,

Of course I'm not offended. It seem to me you have some serious confusion about christianity. But I hope we can have a geniue discussion rather than arguing just for the sake of having an argument.

1. 神愛世人 is true and has always been the case. Unfortunately, people chose to sin and turn away from God. That's why there are so much suffering on earth.

"又對亞當說、你既聽從妻子的話、吃了我所吩咐你不可吃的那樹上的果子、地必為你的緣故受咒詛", "你必終身勞苦、才能從地裏得吃的. 你必汗流滿面才得餬口、直到你歸了土、因為你是從土而出的.你本是塵土、仍要歸於塵土. " (創 世 紀 3: 17, 19)

Look at all the civil wars in Africa. Did God started those wars? No. Those political leaders are fighting for their own greed and agenda and people suffered.

When we chose our behaviour, we chose our consequences. We choose to sin, we chose to suffer a bad outcome. But this is not the end because there is hope:

"神要擦去他們一切的眼淚.不再有死亡、也不再有悲哀、哭號、疼痛、因為以前的事都過去了。坐寶座的說、看哪、我將一切都更新了。...." (啟示錄 21: 4-5a)

世事不公平 is only temporary, and there is an eternity waiting for us when we die. It's up to us where we will end up.

2. The 'theme' of christianity is about salvation through believing in Jesus Christ, not by 善有善報. 善有善報 is trying to achieving the same thing through good work. That's why I seek your definition: how much good work is needed to achieve salvation? How much is enough?

In the case of a nice old Buddist woman, who has the authority to say she is nice "enough" to go to heaven? Besides, no one can claim to be sinless in front of God. I have asked buddist people the same question and no one could answered me because they did not know themselves. Not you, me or anyone out there can say they are completely free of sins.

"因為世人都犯了罪、虧缺了 神的榮耀。" (羅馬書 3:23)

Besides, I'll continue to happily put up quotes here, not only for you, but for those who seek answers. Instead of saddness I only feel the joy...

I have opened my eyes and I've encounter God myself through many blessings I received. God is amazing to those who accepts Him....

Dear Tuscany,

It is you who are confused.

It is you you argue just for the sake of argument, by twisiting, and by evading the reality. Can I say that I love my dogs, so I need to kill them all just because they do not always obey my orders? I say I love my dogs because I love them. Others say my dogs because they see that I love them, not that they see that I kill them.

I do not know how your Buddhist friend answered your question. But, by deliberatelt closing your eyes, of course you will say no one is answering you. All your own answers are twisiting what everyone call see.

Cheers,

pyjj.
