One thing I realise, if use
ameda, milk production after pumping is faster than Medela. I could feel fullness of breast after 1 hour when use Ameda.
I just bought Ameda. The first time I used I pumped 6-7 oz which I usually could only pump 4-5 Oz from Medela.
However, after that 1st time, i could only get 4-5 oz and I feel there is much milk inside my breast. Could anyone help me, maybe I don't know how to use the two switches?
I use Medela Swing. Ameda I just bought and could only get similar volume of milk or sometimess less than Medela. Surely save half of the time but I would expect much more milk by using Ameda nei.
My son is drinking 6-7 oz per meal and I'm about to go to work, afraid I couldn't pump enough for him after I return to work.
For both the suction and speed control knobs, try to turn only half way. Don't turn them to full.
Personally I don't think switching to a new pump will have any immediate effects over the night. It takes time for your body to adapt to a new suction.
Relax and don't look at the pump when you pump.
Enjoy !
