My mom brought me 元貝, "tung goo".. those dried seafood everytime when she comes and visits us.. but I can 100% sure no 燕窩.
However, you gonna make sure with the US immigration website if it allows now... you can't even bring bottle water into the flight.. they have so many more restriction now.

Bird Nest is a definitely no-no. My friend bought a box of those Bird Nest Essence and got confiscated at the airport.

就算是不能帶入境，也不要緊。這些現在在美國很多地方都可以買得到。
加州、紐約、伊利洛州（芝加哥）、華盛頓州（西亞圖）、德州 等等都 有唐人街，新型的龐大華人購物中心，超級是場連鎖店、參茸海味連鎖店的。在那裡，豐儉由人的貨品林林種種。不一定要帶得那麼辛苦。又免去了擔心會不會給沒收的煩惱。

如果住得比較少華人的地區，又離以上的購物地點老遠，譬如要開車住酒店才能去得到的距離，那也可以試試能不能從網上購買。現在的超市像大華99都有網站了。

我只是在提供大家多一個選擇而已。
