It is a trend to use HD DV gar lar. If you are sure that you will change to HD TV later and you have associated software for editing (if will edit the DV), then it is OK to buiy a HD DV.
I am going to buy a Sony HC-7 in the near future. Not too expensive jar, as a HD DV.
