有親人叫我去美國矽谷做野, 大公司, 幫我申請綠卡.

1. 我帶同兩歲兒子及五歲女兒去美國, 留番老公在香港
2. 我自己去做野, 留番老公同仔女在香港
3. 邊度都唔去

因為暫時唔可以帶埋老公去.... 我又想亞仔亞女讀好D中文先.

如果你係我, 你會點?

Have you been to silicon valley before? Are you in the hi-tech field? If you don't mind to say, what kind of job did you get?

We live in Toronto and my husband works in the hi-tech field. We kept asking if we should move to silicon valley and OUR answer is "no" through all the years.

It is because the cost of living is just sooooo high, compare to Toronto. I remember 10 years ago visiting that area and look at the houses. A townhouse (houses linked together) is at least half a million US and I am sure it is more expensive now.

I am not sure what your situation is, but you need to have a proper expectation of how life will change.

You going with the kids will be a good idea, but you will need help to take care of them. I will never leave my kids behind because I think man are not as detailed in taking care of the kids.

另 外 ﹐ 你 2個 仔 女 甘 細 個 ﹐ 要 距 地 同 父 親 / 母 親 分 開 都 好 似 吾 系 好 好 窩 。

我 本 身 有 好 多 以 前 大 學 既 同 學 ﹐ 畢 業 之 後 都 有 公 司 請 距 地 ﹐ 幫 距 地 申 請 綠 卡 。 我 知 道 吾 系 話 一 申 請 就 申 請 到 架 ﹐ 起 碼 要 搞 好 幾 年 ﹐ 同 埋 好 多 公 司 吾 想 話 你 拿 到 綠 卡 就 轉 工 ﹐ 又 可 能 要 你 簽 幾 年 contract. 到 你 可 以 做 citizen, 又 要 起 碼 1.5-2年 先 申 請 到 你 老 公 。 甘 起 碼 會 同 你 老 公 分 開 5﹐ 6年 窩 。 雖 然 話 呢 個 世 界 有 飛 機 呢 樣 野 姐﹐ 但 點 都 吾 可 以 同 一 齊 住 比 較 。

至 於 living cost, 反 而 我 覺 得 吾 大 問 題 。 特 別 系 如 果 你 吾 打 算 買 屋 。 (如 果 你 得 一 個 人 系 度 ﹐ 無 必 要 買 一 大 間 屋 自 己 住 姐 ) 除 左 樓 價 比 較 貴﹐ 其 他 都 吾 覺 貴 窩 ﹐ 就 系 油 都 平 過 其 他 地 方 拉 。 食 野 ﹐ 如 果 系 屋 企 自 己 煮 ﹐ 吾 會 貴 得 過 香 港 。

系 呀 ﹐ D 屋 系 幾 貴 呀 ! 之 前 幾 年 "星 "到 傻 ﹐ 呢 2 年 算 系 跌 返 D喇 。 town house 要 50 萬 吾 出 奇 呀 ! 不 過 ﹐ 做 hi-tech, 人 工 有 返 甘 上 下﹐ 就 算 70萬 既 樓 都 應 該 吾 難 供 姐。

I won't leave my kids when they are so young;
I won't leave my husband for such a long time because no one know what will happen if he stay in HK alone;

If I were u, I would not go to silicon valley.

Or, just see if there is any possibility that u can go with your husband together.

Family Unity is more important than money........
