I really want to join but don't know yet. My hubby's grandmother's birthday is some time close to Mid-Autumn Festival and her sons will hold a dinner party in restaurant and a family gathering at her home every year (she's over 90). But, we don't know when they would like to schedule this for this year. Once I know it, I can confirm if we can be in this gathering. Thanks, HappyMatt EE, you have good memory! Amanda is going to be 1 on next Monday and Issac on next Thursday (right, Issac mom?). Chuck E Cheese is a good place for kids. We have been there for someone's birthday 3 times already. Spencer was so excited on the balloons and some of the games (he's too young for many of them).

Hehe, my hubby's grandmother will have her birthday gathering on 9/6. So, we are free on 9/13. Are we still on Chuck E Cheese? Which one you prefer to go? There're outlets in San Bruno, Redwood City, Hayward and Dublin.

First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Amanda & Isaac!! Try to say that earlier, but I think BK server had problem.

Is it the one in Hayward (or is it one in Fremont? I thought I saw that from I-880) kinda in the middle?!? or pick the one have nicer environment.

The one at Hayward is close by 880. The exact location is 24039 Hesperian Blvd.

For the other Chuck E Cheese outlets: -

San Bruno : 1270-1272 El Camino Real
Redwood City: 2541-2543 El Camino Real
Dublin : 7448 Amador Valley Blvd.

I only have been to the one in San Bruno before. It's nice but quite packed. Usually, there will be birthday parties one after another during weekend. Other moms, please have you input if you have been to these locations before.

I've been to the one in Hayward and Newark/Fremont (39839 Mowry School Rd., it's right off 880 also). Comparing these two, I like the Newark/Fremont one a little better. I think all Chuck E Cheese's are always packed so we need to make reservation ahead of time.

Same as SY_Mom, my kids also have classes until 1pm in Fremont. But you all can start first, and we'll join ASAP.

Let's do a quick count how many people are going so I can make a reservation. Mention your location preference as well if you have any. Thanks!

I've checked online that we can only make reservation for birthday parties (not organizational parties) for Saturdays. Times available on 9/13 are 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. So it looks like it's pretty open that day, at least for Newark location. It's $11.99 PER CHILD, Festive table reserved for 90 minutes

The package Include:
20 Game Tokens per Child
Dedicated host/hostess
2 Slices of one-topping pizza per child
Unlimited soft drinks per child and many other goodies .....

Or we can do a walk-in party and try to use the coupons HappyMatt's husband found.

I'm ok with either make reservation or walk in, but do they said how much for parent(s) if make reservation for party?

If make reservation, I prefer 12pm ... but also ok with other time in everybody convenient.

I think that the food of parents have to be ordered from the store at regular price but no sure. I can ask my friend who has birthday party for her daughter there for 3 or 4 years already (we attended every year, that little girl just likes the place). Since the birthday can only start either 12pm or 2pm and SY_Mom and Mrschao cannot make it before 1pm, maybe we need to make it 2pm if we take the option of birthday party. Otherwise, we can go there and settle somewhat 12:30pm.

then will it be better not make party reservation due to the time issue, and we'll have 3 little guy/gal (Isaac, Amanda & Matthew) who can't have pizza yet. However, is anyone know if we can make reservation for a table?

My friend is really busy and I cannot ask too much details. But, her initial spending for her daughter's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese is around $500, including 20-30 kid's packages, 30-40 parents (she needs to pay for the food of the parents). She brought her own birthday cake and prepared party flavors on her own.

Well, should we finalize our plan? I would suggest to meet there by 12:30pm (me, HappyMatt & Isaac Cheng) and we can grab a table. Then, SY_Mom and Mrschao can join us after their sons' classes. It seems that everybody is okay with the CEC at Newark. Let's have a final count~~
