I think girl or boy is not important la, know a bit early is nice of course, but knowing at 16 weeks is not too late la. I think the most important is the baby is healthy la .

I think the hospital's doctor was very busy. I can tell that they have lots of appointment. If he talked to patients longer, the cases queue up for long time. And they need to do operation or do delivery after clinic hours and cannot be late. So they just treat you as a "customer" instead of an anxious "mother-to-be".
In the past, paying $$ to private doctors guarantee much nicer attitude and longer attention from private doctors. Now? If you don't pay them for service, lots of other women fight to pay them for service! Besides scanning for ultrasound everytime you visit them, I cannot see any difference between caring "public doctor" and a busy "private doctor".
