There are few ways. Depending where you live. I know there is a bus on Woodbine that you can take and it will take you to Don Mills TTC station. Sorry, I donno the bus number, but the terminal is beside the Shell gas station one street west of Woodbine.
Or you can take VIVA, it has several route to take you to either Finch or Don Mills TTC.
Or you can take York transit to your closest GO station. In the morning, there will be train. Not the rush hour, you have to take the bus.

I think the easiest way for you is to take VIVA bus from Town Centre Blvd to Richmond Hill Centre (Purple - Westbound). Then change to Blue line to Finch Station. Then from Finch Station, you will take TTC to downtown.
Depending when you will travel, it will be around 15 minutes every bus. You can check the schedule at
