New dwellings and dwellings built on vacant land can be rented.

A dwelling purchased for redevelopment cannot be rented out prior to the redevelopment commencing.

澳洲為嚴禁外國人違規買樓,擴大調查及加重刑罰。外電報道,澳洲國庫部長霍基表示,已勒令海外投資者出售6項物業,該批物業位於悉尼、布里斯班及珀斯,物業價值介乎15.2萬至186萬澳元。他更指,更多勒令出售個案會於近期公布,並承諾會加大刑罰力度。

霍基強調,遭勒令出售的物業僅是冰山一角,自5月宣布嚴格執行限制外國人買樓後,涉嫌違規個案有462宗,而調查的數字已倍增。

在今年3月,澳洲採取行動,勒令恒大地產(03333)子企Golden Fast Foods於90日內出售去年購入、位於悉尼東郊豪宅區Point Piper的Villa del Mare大宅,否則將案件轉介檢察部門。

Epping at 900m with 3 bedrooms is expensive.Epping isn't a upper class suburb and it is further from city. I would pick Chatsoowd, St Leonards or North Sydney if I pay that price. Also rent of 800 is too high for Epping,

I know that 800 will only happen if in North Sydney, or out in the Eastern Suburbs like Double Bay, Rose Bay, Rushcutters bay; because it is closer for the professionals and those are upper class suburbs.

DO NOT buy at 900k for 3 bedroom in Epping. It's a rip off.

You can easily cross check rental prices on www.realestate.com.au or www.domain.com.au

I am unsure if you can buy second hand properties if you are not a citizen.

thanks a lot!I also suspect the info provided by those agent in HK who are selling Australia property, they always promote those properties with very high premium and claim that the rental income is very high.
