Hi, my baby was born 7 weeks earlier, stayed in hospital for 1 month before going home. I was lucky that I had fully lung injection, so my baby's lung function was enhanced before she born. She doesn't need any help on breathing, just need to learn sucking. But, I suffered from some complication during labouring. My baby need to have steriod and do a lot of blood test. That's the hardest time for me. My face was full of tears in the first month. My baby just turned 1-year-old, she is a healthy and cutie baby.

You need to prepare that you'll feel very tiring to visit your baby everyday, you definitely will have a lot worries, and very stress when you see your baby born with a small size. But, 32 weeks is not a worse case, don't be over stress. If there is no other problem, your baby only need to learn sucking and wait for growing in the hospital. Once your baby reaches a certain weight, you can bring him/her home. Premiee are very tough, your baby will be ok. You also need to be strong. Good luck. :loveliness:

My twin also born at 32 weeks. Now they are 8.5 months old. When I bring them to MCH or PWH for follow up, both doctor and nurse said they are very well!

So don't worry to much!

Relax...32 weeks is not too bad for a premie and you have warnings from the doctor as well ~ some premature births have no warning/signs at all (like mine...he just came after 7 hours of contraction/labor at 30 weeks)
Try to take more rest now so that you have energy to deal with the baby's arrival. The baby will get the best care at NICU as soon as it is born.
Think about if you want to give the baby breastmilk ~ as it is best for premies. Take the time to rest at home and bump milk regularly to build up a good supply of breastmilk for the baby (no rest, no milk!).
Go to the hospital & spend some time with the baby, but not 7-11 day & night by his cot as he will sleep a lot & you will not realise how much energy you will use up just by sitting next to him!
Our boy was born at 30 weeks, weighing 4lbs1oz. He will be 9 months old next week & now weighs about 20 lbs. We are so proud of him!

BB巳在今早出來了, 早產7WEEKS. 33.3wk WITH 3.3LBS. It is small size, and is staying at PWH ICU. Lung injection has been done a week ago. Hope everything is fine.

My wife is still in the hospital. She is normal birth. We all both still cannot dare to think what will happen within this coming month. Hope everything is smooth and simple. But still cannot control ourselves to worry about our BB..........

我個囝34.3週出世, 重量為2.345KGS. 要入箱仔, 出世當日發燒, 第二日就無燒, 跟住姑娘話佢飲奶唔好, 於是要插喉, 過咗兩日就唔駛插喉, 但飲奶始終唔係咁理想, 接着就黃胆要照燈, 最後BB要住到個幾禮拜先可以出院. BB住院期間, 醫生差唔多日日同佢抽血驗告種菌, 佢對腳仔和手仔又瘇又瘀, 我見到都心痛到忍唔坐兩行眼淚不停流.

Thank you. He had a good birth weight probably because I had lots of milk, cheese & eggs for breakfast when he was inside me. His 腸胃 has been very good since birth (not many vomitings & upsets). When we took him to weigh in 2 weeks ago, the nurse said he has already caught up with other full-term babies la

Yes, it can, but still need the breathing mask to assist full day yestersday- 1st day of born.

Doctor just said he will try to let it breath half day itself and another half day to use the breathing mask to assist him. Hope he can breathing himself without any equipment soon.

Doctor also said his 發炎 index is high ( ~130, normal is <10 ), need blood test tomorrow again. Hope he is fine. And Doctor overall comment is " OK ".

你們要加油呀...

我個BB也是33週3出世. 出世時有4.7磅,出院時得4.5磅,
現在也4.5個月喇有13磅多喇...
我個BB也入了3天ICU房之後也沒事了.

所以你們也不要太擔心呀...
記得你也要保養好身體才會照顧到個BB呀.
努力加油呀.

My boy was born on 33.4 week. He was 2.2kg at birth . He was now 3.5 months. His BW 5.75KG ( 12.5lb). I was also very stressful at that time, he was stay in the hospital for one month, need oxygen mask at begining, need many antibiotics , need blood transfusion ( too much blood taking ). The doctor said preterm bb can catch up very fast , don't be too worries.
What you can do now is provide the best for your baby---
breast milk . This will make you think more positive , breast milk is very good for preterm bb , as their gut is not very mature.

我個仔仔是29週出世. 出世時有3.65磅,
現在有16磅 (5個月), 湊BB都幾辛苦, 最好搵定媽媽&husband幫手, 我覺得幾辛苦都要湊大佢.....

Thank you for all warm greeting. I will do my best to take care my bb. Up to this moment, what I can do is to provide breast milk and well prepared my home, to welcome it back soon.

Even it has 33wks3, but its size is far below yours, mine is 3.3lbs only. his 發炎 index is high yestersday......

唔駛担心ge. 33.4week出世, 都唔算好早. 我30週串水入院, 32週6見紅, bb要開刀出世. 出世時4磅, 在醫院住咗21日, 足2.2kg可以出院. 開頭嗰個月, 就真係好辛苦, 因為bb食奶唔叻, 食10ml左右就要掃風, 又容易嘔奶, 食成個鐘先食到60ml 奶, 隔一個鐘, 又食, 簡直無覺好瞓. 但越接近本身預產期, 情況會越來越好. 歲半之前, bb發展係跟預產期計, 去到歲半, 就同其他bb無分別. 我個仔而家22個月大, 所有發展正常, 重量已達生長線75% (其實佢4個月大去健康院時已達75%). 最辛苦係頭嗰幾個月, 之後就越來越好架la. 好好照顧自己身體, bb在醫院有醫生姑娘照顧, 唔駛担心ge, 每日去探下佢, 同佢傾計, 佢在個肚度聽慣你地把聲, 會有反應架. 睡多點, 休息多點, 等bb夠重出院, 還要好好照顧佢.
