On the first two days that my super good maid came to HK, she refused to eat too, she said she thinks the HK food is too strange and cannot accept. We offer her noodles, spaghetti etc but she still said she cannot eat. She wants to ask for food allowance. We refuse to give her and tell her you must adapt to HK food (very normal dish with rice) or else you cannot survive if you wish to work in HK.
Then on the third day, she starts to eat more than us, more frequent than us and eats longer time than us (because the longer time she eat, the less time she works!!!).
Now, she wakes up at 6 am eats her breakfast and when my mom wakes up at 9 am, she tells my mom she has NOT eaten breakfast yet and intentionally cook more and leave for herself. At tea time, she "pressed" hard the bananas and tell us that the bananas are going bad, can I eat them????
My conclusion - Don't give food allowance, let her go hungry for 2 days and for sure they will eat MORE than you!!!
