I heard this from radio today (the latter part only), including the recorded tape when reporting to 911 : A 4 year old kid called 911 telling them her/his (had not said boy or girl) was laying on the stairs. The staff asked was your mother laying on the stairs, she/he answered no, down the stairs. She fell from the stairs. The kid used the mobile phone beside the mother to call 911 so the staff could not trace for the address. The staff comforted her/him first because he/she was very scared, then tried to ask for the address. then the kid singed out the address - ... xxxx blueberry court ... in a not very clear tone, the staff then asked is it blueberry court, the kid answered yes. the mother was later transferred to hospital. the police later awarded the kid as "kid hero". During the later interview, it was also known that the kid also know the home's phone number, but also by singing it out.
It is more easy to teach young children to remember some important information, not asking them to recite, but as a game which will be more easy to remember.
