I personally would not hire someone overseas anymore. All the details when you hire them form the agent are not true. My Indo is 10 yrs older than her resume! No choice as I need someone so I did not send her back.
Hiring from HK, I think you can at least see the person before commiting yourself for 2 years. Whether they are good or bad, it does not make any different if they are local or overseas. It's all luck of the draw.
I just don't have the time to train somone who have no idea at all to look after my family shores.
