i hv the same problem and i think you should go to small claim court. I hired a maid from AsXX world and i specifically asked for someone who has not come to HK before. I waited 2 months, immigration called me and told me this maid has been here before and request her HKID number!! whats even worse is that I found out the maid was being terminated twice but on the bio said shes finished contract.!!!
I've argued with the agent but finally, they rejected to refund anything.
They needed me to pay the total amount $2800 and now they rejected to refund anything because they said they have explained to me before signing the contract.
This is what they said to me when I signed the contract, "We are selling "people" service, you will know that "people" is kind of special elements. Their health, their attitude, their mental ability before coming HK, their family status.....all sort of these factors are not controlable. Therefore, we will not refund anything after you sign the contract. Hope that you understand."
Finally, I cannot get my maid because of the health report not passed.
After having different opinions, I will send the case to Gov't Dept. for follow and hopefully, they can help me.
Very angry! I'm now pregnant again. My hubby asked me don't do any action because he's afraid of my health. But I'm really don't feel good towards this kind of business method.
Previously, I used another agent which is extremely good and I've referred most of my friends and BK mom to the old agent. Really feel stupid now, why I'm too rush in signing the contract with this 無良agent.
Thinking back....the reason for signing the contract is the maid is really really good to me and fit for all....yes...all my requirements.....Most of all, she is very polite and cheerful thru' the tel. conversation.
