老公15年前取得公民証後,回港工作至現在,女兒和兒子在港出世,已拿了加拿大身分證.本人打算明年6月份,等大女兒小六考完試,便和老公,大女兒及小兒子(小一)回加居住,markham有品行好的中,小學嗎?是否要早一點找學校考入學試?
冬天大風雪返學是否很辛苦呢?
加拿大學鋼琴是否很貴?
一間有4房的house大約要多少錢?
牛奶金到幾歲及多少錢?

depends on where about u want to live in markham... people dashed to william breezy (public school) for the element school or St monica (for catholic school). but u do have lots of choice.
if u r driving, then it is o.k. since you could drop off/pick up your kids from/to school
a 4 bedroom house? u want town house, semi, or detached? new or second hand. all price dif but nowadays should be over 500K. yesterday we went to one of the new site (elgin mills/woodbine). a 2300 square feet house 4 bedroom asked $695K.

piano class, depends if u go to teacher's place or they come over, and what level your kids are ... price varies

milk $$ depends on if you are low incoming group or so.. there should be a weblink for you to check out...but i forgot what is that...

we came across a new release town house in Macowan/buroak area. 1500 sq feet asking for $400K.

the second hand town house in major mackenzie/woodbine for the similar size asking for $400K+ as they are closed to a french element school.

so it hardly tell unless u know which area you are looking for.

doggie's comment a really ture, i just want to share some of my ideas...

my friend just sold her 3 bedrooms semi-hse, 1700 ft at >$410K around mccowan/bur oak. her basement is almost finished (w/o toilet only)

there's a $ diff on basement is finished or not or how nice of the basement.

i just thought, markham's schools a pretty ok. no worry on this matter. william berzy a very good...but hse around there a very $$ & not that new

piano - general charge $50/hr...there a some cheaper & higher than this....for entry level will be lesser because of time shorter, e.g. $25 for 0.5 hr a lesson, etc.

milk $....is $100 per head for younger then 6. will cease at the mth when the kid reach 6 yrs old.

謝謝你們的回應,還有些問題想請教,小女今年升小六,明年來加拿大是否要等考完畢業試帶同成績表才可找學校?但是考試多數在、六月中,會否趕不到找學校呢?
請問如果我想先租3房apartment或condo大約要多少錢一個月,可否短租約呢?
太多問題,、麻煩各位!

rental fee still depends on the location. for a 3 bedroom apt. we are at least talking about $1500+ for a month on the highway 7 area..
u check on the link I sent you, they do have the rental details...
shortterm? r u talking about 6 months or 3 months? or what? normally the lease is for 1 yr. (that's what i did when i came in 2002). then for that year, i go around to "understand" the area and choose where is the location i like to have the permenant stay.

FYI, even they have the 3-6 months short term lease, most of them are for fully furnished - then will be over $2000+

首先,多倫多public school係不用找學校,像hk派位要用住址來編配仔女去邊間學校,你見到某些區d屋賣得很貴,某些原因係因為該區小學or中學好(好既意思我唔識形容)像hk45區(九龍塘)
至於考assessment test,考既時候係要show3年的成績表,hk考最後一次exam係6月中,我suggest考埋它,跟住立即起程來考assessement,告知最後一次成績要遲些補回,因為無最後個次成績就當未fully complete
我仔6月初(無考hk final　exam)來考assessment test,她說只可某些courses可以transfer
另提你:考完assessment test要約去學校註冊,若7月後才來,學校無得見,要到8月尾才有得見.

我今年９月中就過加拿大，落腳點亦是ＭＡＲＫＨＡＭ，我在網上查樓資料ｈｗｙ７／ｗｏｏｄｂｉｎｅ。HOUSE 4 房要650,000至700,000.10幾年Tｏｗｎｈｏｕｓｅ都要＄４００，０００　以上。ａｐａｔｍｅｎｔ３房＄３６０，０００。租金$2000。現在都考慮租或買？（現在樓價貴，加幣又高！）

想問３ｋｉｄｓ媽咪，小孩今年升中二，是否要帶齊五，六年級及中一成績表才可承認成績。他們今年是讀ｐｒｉｍａｒｙ　ｓｃｈｏｏｌ（ｇｒａｄｅ　８）。
考完assessment test,是根據成績or年齡分級.會有機會升high school (讀grade 9)嗎?因為他出年1月就14yrs old.

long time no see!決定了九月過來,好丫!
買既話要spend d時間research下,周圍睇下環境
其實可以租一年,到時settle後,聽下d朋友意見等等會好d

九月升中二即係完成了中一,要帶齊P.5,6及F.1成績表
讀邊級係跟據年齡,考asessement test係睇下孩子須要讀邊一級既ESL(分5級),你孩子13歲係應該讀grade 8,assessor會問係hk完成grade 幾.
assessor會好詳細解釋的
我仔因為已16歲讀grade 11,所以grade 9,10會有些courses可以credit給他.不用他重讀些gd 9,10 core courses.

PS:你可以8月份打電話去reception centre約時間做assessment test (9月8日就開學了)
