You can start interviewing new maids now but take her home to see for yourself.
I am prepared to pay the air ticket, but for the notice in-lieu, I will try to bargain with the agent and let the maid to resign on her own. You are right, language is a very big concern, if this goes with a nervous character, I will not take that maid to play safe.

i will take her to home & train her before i back to work, for better & earlier adaptation for her, & lessen my worry too, not guessing & guessing which is useless
Yes, so I will take my baby with me to receive the helper this Fri or Sat and test her babysitting ability on the spot. If she doesn't seem to be ok, I will probably not take her home. If she seems ok, I will take her home and try a couple of days.
