You ask the agent why this is postponed and postponed? Have the visa been issed? If the agent has submitted the application, there should be a reference number given by HK Immigration and you can check the status. If the visa is issued than what is the reason of holding up?
I am afraid the agent has not submitted the application. As I know some agents will put up fraudulent profiles, those candidates won't come as they do not exist. Hence, will ask you to choose another one. As you have been running out of time, you will make compromise and choose the less preferred one.
I am hiring an agent to process the documents for my direct hire and now pretty clear about the procedure than before.
It takes one week process in the Phi consulate and 4-6 weeks with HK Immigration for visa application. Hence, the whole process should be around 2 months once the contract is signed.
I went to this agent before. The staff didn't care of my need, just mentioned it is difficult to get helpers. She gave me a few files which are useless - 10 years with 5 employers, 3 x 1-year services (break contracts) ...
bun bun always like that, they don't have money and passport but they will go for interview first. after someone want to hire her, then she will apply passport and borrrow money from others.
my bad experience, i started look for bun bun since May 2012, until now i am still waiting for helper.
1st bun bun - no money to pay for agent.
2nd bun bun - no passport, need to wait for 2 months for passport and apply visa,,,may take 4 - 5 months to apply, so forget it.
3rd bun bun - got money (partial) & passport can get it within 20 days, but i wait for her about 1.5 months, she can't pass the medicial check up.
4th bun bun - working in HK and recommond by my mum's friend's friend. i signed contract with her mid of Aug, her last working day is mid of Sept, until end of Sept, she still can't give me her passport, many excuse. finally i need to cancel her application in immgration, i think she borrow money from financial service and they keep her passport.
5th bun bun - overseas, signed contract early Oct, but wait for 1 week, still no reply. Agent said she may not want to work for me as i am stay in Kowloon or HK island.
6th bun bun - just signed contract last week, hope she really can work for me...........
