Hi Tami,
yep, I am staying at Monte Vista at the moment and thinking of moving to a village house when my youngest child gets a bit older. Where about is the Tai Po Village? Is it near the HK Institute of Education? What are the public transports at the village? How far does it take from the village to HK Island and TST by public transports? I bet the living environment is much better over there, at least the space is bigger, right? I am staying in a flat over a thousand square feet but it is still not very big for our family cos' we have 3 kids who love running around all the time. Love to have a bigger place for them. It would be great if we can have a much bigger place without paying more than what we are paying.
Pls tell me know more about the village you are staying, am really interested. Thanks
Tami ,
Would you mind letting me know the address of the village you are staying at. I looked it up from the map book but still can't find it. Thanks...
I lives in Po Sam Pai Village in Ting Kok Road which is very near to HKIE, about 5 mins drive, we seldom use public transport, so I'm not sure the time to TST. But my husband works in Causeway Bay, he always take the bus 307 and then by the min bus in Tai Po Centre it takes total 1 hour for CWB to our home.
Why you chose the primary school in Tai Po? Is it good?
My Athena is now studying in Anchors Kindergarten, she enjoy her school life so much and love our new home so much.
For your budget, I think you can rent a duples village house with garten or roof top which is very good quality.
Try to find an agent to lead you have a look.
I know there is many new houses very near to HKIE.

Tami,
Thanks so much for the useful information, I will look it up from the map book again.
About the school my older son is at, Hm...I checked a few schools out a year before he started primary, and both my husband and I liked the one he is at at the moment. We assessed those schools in terms of Chinese syllabus, physical location(environment) ,teaching principles and styles.
Is Athena at k3 at the moment? Are you searching primary schools for her now? It is not an easy job for parents in HK, isn't it? It takes lots of time and discussions..
