我都開始搵緊info

english learning materials e.g. disney, noddy
develop reading habit : baby u can read; flash cards

其實我都唔sure邊款好o的 & 幾時開始用?
any comments?

i've also been info gathering at the educaiton expo ar

my personal feelings -

out of disney, noddy and english times, i like noody least, and preferring english times to disney, as disney looks a bit dated and is less focused on reading.

i was gonna get my hubby to get 'your baby can read' when he goes on business trip in the US, but after having a look at the books & DVDs at the expo, i was quite disappointed. :( it seems quite unstructured... might work for native english speaking kids but not for kids with another mother language....

I had the mickey set for my elder daughter. It worked well with her when she was below 3, but she lost her interest in watching the DVDs after 3. She is 6 now.

我只係播莫札特o既音樂 cd 比bb聽.
我以前大肚常用這cd 來胎教, 果時 bb 會踢我個肚, 反而bb 出世後聽番, 就冇咩反應. 不過我都會照比bb聽.

我依家有時都播 classical music 比 bb 聽
不過佢都係冇咩反應

我沉日同個同事傾過 (佢個仔仔3歲)
佢話我地自己做左 research 先
choose 左幾隻好既
bb 大 d 時帶埋佢去 d education expo / bb expo
睇吓佢對唔同教材既 reaction 先去買喎
都 make sense 既 :)

Hi TszChingMaMa I had same experience as you. My elder son liked to listen and watch the Disney before going to K1, but he lost interest after that. He is 6 now and English standard is not as good as my expectation.

My younger girl is 4 months, I play the CD and DVD. She seems like to listen and watch. From my previous experience, we need to keep on creating a English speaking environment to them. Otherwise, it will waste the effort and money we paid.
